I use design and research as a method for improving connections between people and the platforms/products they use. My current focus is on using emerging tech to build excitement for education and access to resources in minority communities.

Emerging Technologies Program Coordinator – Switchboard – Hybrid
Managed end-to-end development of VR modules for refugee resettlement, overseeing planning, scheduling, and cross-functional teams. Led cross-functional teams through filming, editing, and presentation to deliver high-quality, on-time results. Produced multimedia training resources (webinars, workshops, toolkits, presentations) to equip service providers with VR integration skills. Facilitated engagement through on-site trainings and ongoing support. Served as MC and oversaw logistics for the inaugural Technology & Resettlement Conference (~100 attendees).

Director/Producer/Social Media Manager - FREAKOUT films - El Paso, Texas
Led production of short films for indie studio FREAKOUT Films, including directing, producing, and editing. Managed website and Instagram presence, Planned and executed in-person and virtual fundraising campaigns. Coordinated creative teams, taking on additional roles such as stunt coordination, stunt performance, and scriptwriting to ensure project completion and quality.

Virtual Reality Digital Inclusion Intern – International Rescue Committee – SLC, UT
Supported filming, editing, and delivery of VR modules to aid refugee resettlement. Conducted client survey research, developed VR implementation workflows for Cultural Orientation, and facilitated International Rescue Committee-University of Utah class collaborations.
